Dvora Morag
photo of Dvora

Dvora Morag is an Israeli painter, photographer, and installation artist whose mixed-media work deconstructs the private-public, present-absent dichotomy. Morag analyses these binary relationships through the notion of “home”, whilst her aesthetic sensibility brings the spectator into an alternative form of viewership.

As an artist, Dvora Morag directly addresses her Jewish heritage through universal, yet personal, themes, such as "home", "domesticity", and "memory". The present-absent dialectic, as seen in ‘Line by Line’ and 'Holding My Breath', demonstrates the destabilizing affect the absence of life has on structured, socio-political (architectural) life.
