Rodent Respect is a collaboration between an artist - Julia Kuhl and two scientists – Troy Margrie and Pavel Osten and was conceived as a tribute to the laboratory rodent. The web-site is intended for scientists working with rodents and particularly for students, who are just getting to know their fuzzy research subjects. All of us are aware of the rodent’s great value to the experimental science of today, but did you know that medicinal uses of rodents go back thousands of years? Rodents have had an important role to play in quite a few societies throughout the ages. Rodent Respect gathers evidence of the complex rodent-human interaction together in one place in an easily accessible, very artistic and immensely entertaining manner.
