Victoria Lynn is an independent curator and writer based in Melbourne and the author of three books and over 70 articles and catalogues
Victoria was the curator of Adelaide International: Apart, we are together, Adelaide Festival, 2010, and The Trickster, Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, Korea, 2010. In 2009 she was curator of Double Take, the Anne Landa Award for Video and New Media Arts, Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney. In 2007 she curated turbulence, 3rd Auckland Triennial; Julie Rrap: Body Double, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney and Regarding Fear and Hope at Monash University Museum of Art, Melbourne.
She previously held the post of Director, Creative Development at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. Prior to that, Victoria was Curator of Contemporary Art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Victoria was also Chair, Visual Arts/Craft Board of the Australia Council from 2001-2004 and the Commissioner of the Australian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2003.
She is the Visual Art Curator for the Adelaide Festival 2012 and will be specifically curating the Adelaide International exhibition.
