Constructed Realities

This work was created by choreographer and performance maker Clare Dyson and landscape geologist Dr Steve Hill. The work focuses on the continent of Australia and what it means to be a non-indigenous person living here. What does landscape mean to us? how does inpact on our psyche? our research was also based on the traces the elements have on the landscape and the traces we as humans leave. Steve was also looking at how kangaroos react with the landscape and how what they do and what they eat is an indication of the geology below the surface. we were reading the landscape. the performance work asked the audience to 're-look' to 're-imagine' the place they were in, the places they inhabit.
