The Mutagen project forms part of a graphic exploration which utilises the most fundamental creative process, evolution. A collection of experiments into producing images which become a on life itself. Mutagen explores morphogenesis (the development of form and pattern in living structures) by simulating aspects of biological processes within a computer environment. This includes the translation of coded information into tangible structures, which , mutate, grow and evolve. By interacting with the computer environment a can guide the evolution of images or modify the which produces them, the creative potentials inherent in the environments created by Mutagen.
