Images in "Pool" were created using non-traditional, but nevertheless natural physical characteristics of watercolour to build metaphors about masculinity.
The circular format of each of the 12 artworks was based on a cross-section of a seminiferous tubule, but the colour play in each circle 'acted out' a range of 'dramas' that are different to the normal actions in a seminiferous tubule.
