WILD: the natural environment and the digital wilderness is a new media exhibition featuring the works of artists concerned with broad ecological themes such as eco-systems, digital habitats and cultural interpretations of ‘wilderness’. The Wild 2002 initiative also included a ten-day wilderness residency on Maria Island, dual-site webcast between Hobart and Montreal (Canada), net-radio broadcast, education programs, and video screenings.
